Fitzpatrick Stadium in Portland, Maine was home to a landmark event on Thursday, July 29, as the New England Patriots and the Maine State Lottery teamed up to introduce the new Maine Lottery Patriots instant ticket.
The ticket is the first licensed NFL lottery product for the Maine Lottery.
"This partnership between the Maine Lottery and the New England Patriots, brings together two organizations dedicated to winning and providing the best entertainment value for our fans," said Maine Lottery Director Dan Gwadosky. "Most importantly, the game will provide funding for Maine's General Fund."
Gwadosky took to the stage along with former Patriots center Pete Brock as well as a member of the team's cheerleading squad and Pat Patriot to officially introduce the ticket. Incidentally, the New England Patriots were working out on a football field of their own in Foxborough, Mass., as the team opened its 2010 Training Camp on the same day.
"This is an exciting time for Maine Patriots fans, with the unveiling of the ticket on the opening day of camp," Brock said.
The $5.00 instant ticket, which officially went on sale July 30th at 1,300 locations around the state, features a grand prize of $50,000 in addition to season tickets, away game trip packages and memorabilia signed by members of the New England Patriots.
