**ESPNBoston.com** reports that center Dan Koppen will re-sign with the Patriots, according to a league source. The 32-year-old has spent his entire career with New England, starting 120 of 121 regular season games. Koppen was placed on injured reserve last year after breaking his left fibula in the opening game of the season. After the Patriots re-signed G/C Dan Connolly to a three-year contract this offseason, it was believed that Koppen would no longer have a role in New England. He now joins an interior offensive line that includes Logan Mankins, Robert Gallery, Dan Connolly, Ryan Wendell, and Nick McDonald. Pro-Bowler Brian Waters may also be in the mix, but is still said to be considering retirement.
**Mike Rodak** of ESPNBoston.com writes that Patriots free-agent running back Kevin Faulk has decided not to retire, and is training to enter his 14th season. Faulk hopes that the Patriots will show interest in bringing him back next season. "I am training to come back to play," Faulk told reporters at a community appearance at Hasbro Children's Hospital. "But it's not up to me. It's up to the team and everything, but I am planning on coming back to play, so we'll see what happens." Faulk, now 35-years-old, has spent his entire career in New England and has said that he has no plans to play elsewhere in 2012. "That is not going anywhere. If it doesn't come, it doesn't come. I'm content with it," Faulk said. "If a phone call doesn't come from the New England Patriots, are you ready for that? Yes, I am."
**Mary Paoletti** of CSNNE.com reports that Virginia Tech running back **David Wilson** is scheduled to make a visit to Foxborough. Widely considered one of the most athletic running backs in this year's NFL Draft, the 5-foot-10, 206-pound Wilson won ACC Player of the Year honors as a junior. After drafting Shane Vereen in the second round and Stevan Ridley in the third round of last year's draft, it appears the Patriots still may be interested in at least one more back, says Paoletti.
**CSNNE.com** reports that free-agent cornerback Antwaun Molden has agreed to terms with the New York Giants. The report was confirmed via Molden's Twitter account. The 27-year-old had 28 tackles and two interceptions for New England in 19 games last season.
**Tom E. Curran** of CSNNE.com reports that there has been no movement on contract talks between the Patriots and Wes Welker. New England has until July 15 to work out a new deal with Welker and lift the franchise tag from him for the 2012 season. Welker appeared on the NFL Network's "Total Access" on Thursday night and commented on the franchise tag. "It's a lot of money. How can you ever be upset about that? It's more than half of what my last contract was over five years. One year - $9.5 (million) over one year? It's not a bad deal. I'm not worried about it." Reports today stated that Welker is "most likely" to play out the 2012 season under the franchise tag.
