'Patriots Friday' joins 'Patriots Monday' on WEEI-AM

WEEI Sports Radio announced a long-term deal for "Patriots Monday" and "Patriots Friday," which will kick off later this summer.

Boston, MA (July 10, 2008) - WEEI Sports Radio announced a long-term deal for "Patriots Monday" and "Patriots Friday," which will kick off later this summer.

Just as "Patriots Monday" has always provided listeners with the most comprehensive and insightful post game analysis, WEEI-AM will now give them the same winning formula with "Patriots Friday," consisting of top-flight interviews, information, analysis and entertainment leading up to the game.

"Patriots Friday" will feature an outstanding lineup of Patriots players appearing throughout the day as they look ahead to that weekend's game. Vince Wilfork will make his debut as a WEEI regular on the Dennis and Callahan Show on Friday mornings. One or more of a trio of the team's stars --Wes Welker, Ben Watson, and Logan Mankins-- will make an appearance on Dale & Holley during midday. Finally, Mike Vrabel and Matt Light, two of the Patriots' more engaging players, will join "The Big Show" crew in the afternoon.

Meanwhile, on "Patriots Monday," the same winning formula and lineup headlined by Patriots superstar quarterback Tom Brady and Head Coach Bill Belichick will return to the airwaves on WEEI. Brady and Belichick will be among a host of Patriots who will again join station personalities on air to provide fans with comprehensive and insightful pre game and post game analysis.

Brady will again kick off "Patriots Monday" with his weekly appearance on the Dennis and Callahan Show. He enters his seventh season as a premiere guest on the Dennis and Callahan show.

Also for the seventh straight year, Coach Belichick will wrap up the "Patriots Monday" lineup by joining Glenn Ordway and the crew of "The Big Show," including Fred Smerlas, Steve DeOssie, and Pete Sheppard. Through the years, this program has become a must-listen and is the highest rated interview in its time period in the market.

Also returning to "Patriots Monday" will be a rotation of Patriots veterans, including Tedy Bruschi, Richard Seymour, Rodney Harrison and Ty Warren, who will drop in on Dale & Holley throughout the season.

"Patriots Monday is one of the key products at the core of our success, and I'm extremely pleased to add Patriots Friday to our stable," said Jason Wolfe, Vice President of AM Programming Entercom Boston. "The combination of Pats Monday and Friday will provide listeners with the most complete coverage of the Patriots throughout the season, and helps grow what is already a fantastic partnership with the team."

"I am pleased to continue our great relationship with 'Patriots Monday' and very excited to add new and exciting content in 'Patriots Friday.' WEEI is committed to keeping our growing audience thoroughly entertained," said Julie Kahn, VP & Market Manager, Entercom New England.

"Patriots Monday has been a great platform for our players to reach the fans directly," said Murray Kohl, VP of Sales for the Patriots. "Patriots Friday will give WEEI's listeners even more opportunity to hear from their favorite players as they finish their week of preparation heading into each game. It's a great partnership for both sides that we are happy to expand it to Fridays."

"Patriots Monday" will begin on Monday, August 18 and "Patriots Friday" will begin on Friday, August 22.
