Patriots part of NFL-NFLPA pledge to donate $1 Million to American Red Cross

The New England Patriots have joined a league-wide NFL and NFLPA initiative to pledge $1 million to the American Red Cross to aid in Hurricane Sandy relief efforts in the northeast.

Fans are also encouraged to make a $10 donation through the text-to-give line by texting REDCROSS to 90999. In addition to the website, the Patriots will also provide links to make donations to the American Red Cross via the Patriots Facebook and Twitter accounts.

Additionally, the Patriots will include Hurricane Sandy relief announcements for the American Red Cross at their next game on November 11.
