FOXBOROUGH, Mass. - The New England Patriots signed cornerback Michael Harden to the practice squad today. Harden fills the practice squad vacancy that was created when guard Billy Yates was signed to the active roster on Nov. 12. The Patriots practice squad now stands at its limit of eight players.
Harden, 24, was originally signed by the Seattle Seahawks as an undrafted free agent on April 30, 2004. The 5-foot-11-inch, 190-pound cornerback was a member of the Seahawks practice squad for the entire 2004 regular season and was signed to the active roster for Seattle's wild card playoff game (1/8/05), but was inactive for the game. The University of Missouri product was with the Seahawks for their 2005 training camp, but was released in the final preseason roster cutdown on Sept. 4, 2005.
