Patriots to host Bears for joint practices

The Patriots will host Chicago for a pair of joint practices in August before their preseason game with the Bears.

After a one-year hiatus, Patriots fans will once again get the opportunity to watch another team practice with the Patriots during training camp. New England announced it will host Chicago for a pair of joint practices Aug. 15 and 16 before taking on the Bears in the second preseason game Aug. 18 at Gillette Stadium.

Last season the Patriots traveled to West Virginia to work with New Orleans before the teams headed south for their preseason game, but New England was unable to host any joint practices in Foxborough. In the past the Patriots have hosted Philadelphia, Tampa Bay and New Orleans for joint practices in Foxborough.

The Patriots open the preseason with New Orleans on Aug. 11 so it's possible the Saints will arrive early for some joint practices as well.
