PFW in Progress Recap 8/9: Patriots-Saints practice

0:02:00 - Fred Kirsch began today's show as a solo act with the rest of the PFW Boys covering the Patriots joint practices with the New Orleans Saints. 

0:05:00 - Andy Hart joined the show and immediately the focus of today became the health of Patriots wide receiever Julian Edelman. Edelman left practice early with an apparent injury to his surgically repaired foot. He seemed frustrated at not being able to complete practice and slammed his helmet to the turf before meeting with trainers.

0:13:00 - The length of today's practice became a topic of discussion. 

0:22:00- Andy Hart and Fred Kirsch began the many Olympic updates of the Team USA Men's Rugby team. Nate Ebner saw action in today's game. 

0:31:00 - Fred Kirsch was very vocal today about his opinion that Jimmy Garoppolo has taken a step back during training camp. 

0:51:00 - Can you keep Julian Edelman in "bubble wrap" for the remainder of the pre season? 

1:17:00 - PFW In Progress was at it's best coming out of the lunch break as the guys discussed the merits of macaroni and cheese. 

1:30:00 - Another development in today's joint practice with the Saints was the loss of Rob Ninkovich to an apparent arm injury. 

1:40:00 - Erik Scalavino finally joined today's show straight from the NFL Referee's meeting with the media at Gillette Stadium. The remainder of the show was spent discussing NFL Rule Changes for 2016.
