Former Patriots Harris, Kelley join Browns

BEREA, Ohio (Aug. 4, 2005) -- The Cleveland Browns signed two players who played for new coach Romeo Crennel when he was New England's defensive coordinator, defensive back Antwan Harris and defensive tackle Ethan Kelley.

Harris played 52 games and three playoff games for the Patriots from 2000-03.

He made two key plays in New England's drive to its 2002 Super Bowl title. He scored on a lateral following a blocked punt in an AFC Championship game win over Pittsburgh, then forced a fumble that led to a touchdown in the Super Bowl against St. Louis.

The 6-foot-2, 303-pound Kelley appeared in one game last season for New England and made one tackle.

Cleveland also waived running back Chad Scott and defensive lineman Ellery Moore.
