The New England Patriots improved to a 4-2 record with a 25-19 win at New Orleans. The Patriots have now won two of their three straight road games with the win against the Saints coming after the 23-20 win at Buffalo. The Patriots will be on the road for the third straight week when they travel to Tennessee to face the Titans. The Patriots have won three consecutive games played on the road two other times in team history. In 1961, the Patriots finished the year with a 3-0 record in three straight road games and then the team won three straight road games in the 1985 postseason en route to their first ever Super Bowl.
SERIES HISTORY
The New England Patriots and Tennessee Titans (formerly the Houston Oilers) will square off in Tennessee for the second straight season. The Patriots lost in overtime, 20-17, on Nov. 3, 2024. The Patriots have dropped their last two games against the Titans in Nashville with last year's loss and a 34-10 loss on Nov. 11, 2018.
The teams have played 46 times in regular season and postseason play since the two charter members of the American Football League began play in 1960. The Patriots and Oilers played twice each year from 1960-1969 in the AFL and have played 26 times since the AFL-NFL merger in 1970. In those 26 post-merger games, the Patriots have a 16-10 record, including a 2-2 mark in playoff games.
New England leads the overall regular season and postseason series 26-19-1. While the Patriots are 19-7-1 in home games against the Titans, the Patriots are 7-12 in road games, including 2-3 in games played in Tennessee after the team moved from Houston.

Vrabel has brought over many members of his staff and players from Tennessee - six players and 13 staff members - for a grand total of 19 from his tenure there.
WHAT TO LOOK FOR
- The Patriots have won three straight games. A victory at Tennessee this week will give the Patriots their longest winning streak since a seven-game winning streak during the 2021 season.
- The Patriots game at Tennessee will be their third consecutive game on the road. The Patriots won the first two road games with a 23-20 win at Buffalo and a 25-19 win at New Orleans. A win this week at Tennessee will mark the Patriots' third time winning all three games when playing three straight on the road in a single season. In 1961, the Patriots won their final three games on the road, and then in 1985, the Patriots won three straight postseason games played on the road en route to their first Super Bowl appearance. The Patriots have had 24 previous instances of three or more consecutive games on the road in a single season, including the postseason.
- With a win this Sunday at Tennessee, the Patriots will improve to a 4-0 record on the road. The Patriots have started with a road record of 4-0 or better eight times in team history: 1978 - 6-0, 2006 - 5-0, 2007 - 8-0, 2015 - 4-0, 2016 - 8-0, 2017 - 6-0, 2019 - 4-0 and 2021 - 6-0. The Patriots finished undefeated on the road in 2007 and 2016.
- The Patriots are the only team in 2025 that has not surrendered 50 yards to a running back through the first six games. It is the first time in team history that has occurred. Last season, Baltimore did not allow a 50-yard rusher for the first seven weeks of the season.
- The 2025 Patriots team is fourth in the NFL against the run, allowing 83.5 rushing yards per game. The Patriots record for fewest rushing yards allowed is 88.6 rushing yards per game in 2016.
PATRIOTS TO WATCH
- TE Hunter Henry enters this week ranked fifth among New England tight ends with 2,482 receiving yards and needs 6 yards this week against Tennessee to move past Jim Whalen into fourth place on the Patriots all-time list among tight ends.
- QB Drake Maye had his fifth straight game with a 100-plus passer rating after finishing with a 140.1 rating in the win at New Orleans. Maye will try for his sixth straight game with a 100-plus passer rating this week at Tennessee. The Patriots record for most consecutive games with a 100-plus quarterback rating in a single season is eight straight games by Tom Brady in 2007 and 2011. The NFL record for a single season is 12 by Aaron Rodgers in 2011.
- Maye has two games in 2025 with an 80 percent pass completion percentage (minimum 10 pass attempts) after completing 19-of-23 pass attempts at Miami (9/14) for an 82.6 pass completion percentage and completing 14-of-17 passes for an 82.4 pass completion percentage in the victory vs. Carolina (9/28). If he completes at least 80 percent of his passes this week at Tennessee, he will be the first New England quarterback with three games in a season with an 80 percent completion percentage.
- Maye enters this week against Tennessee second in the NFL with a 73.2 completion percentage. Jared Goff of Detroit is leading the NFL with a 75.9 completion percentage. The NFL record for a season was set by Drew Brees in 2018 with New Orleans when he finished with a 74.4 completion percentage. Tom Brady has the New England record for a season with a 68.9 completion percentage in 2007. Drew Brees (74.4 in 2018 and 74.3 in 2019) is the only NFL quarterback to finish a season with a completion percentage of at least 73 percent.
- Maye enters this week in 12th place on New England's alltime passing list with 3,798 yards. He needs 123 yards to move past Butch Songin (3,905) and Mike Taliaferro (3,920) into 10th place and 149 yards to move past Matt Cassel (3,946) into ninth place on the team's all-time list.
- Maye tied a career-high with 3 touchdown passes last week at New Orleans. All three of his touchdowns were for 25 yards or more, the first being a 53-yard touchdown pass to WR DeMario Douglas in the first quarter, the second being a 25-yard touchdown pass to WR Kayshon Boutte in the first quarter, and the third being a 29-yard touchdown pass to Boutte in the second quarter. If Maye throws three touchdown passes of 25 yards or more this week, he will be the first Patriot to ever accomplish the feat. The last NFL player to throw three touchdown passes of at least 25 yards in two straight games was Nick Foles of Philadelphia in 2013.
- If Maye throws at least 3 touchdown passes this week at Tennessee, he will be the first Patriot player to throw 3 touchdown passes in back-to-back games since the 2018 season when Tom Brady had 3 touchdown passes vs. Miami (9/30) followed by 3 touchdown passes vs. Indianapolis (10/4).
- CB Marcus Jones returned a first quarter punt 87 yards for a touchdown vs. Carolina (9/28). If Jones returns a punt for a touchdown this week at Tennessee, he will join Troy Brown as the only Patriots player to have two punts returned for a touchdown in a single season. Brown returned two punts for touchdowns during the 2001 season.
- Jones had his third punt return of over 60 yards vs. Carolina (9/28) with an 87-yard touchdown return. He then added a 61-yard return for his fourth career 60-yard punt return to tie Julian Edelman for the most punt returns of at least 60 yards in team history. Jones previously had a 62-yard punt return vs. the New York Jets (10/27/24) and an 84-yard punt return for a touchdown vs. the Jets (11/20/22). He will have the most 60-yard punts in team history with five if he has a 60-yard return this week at Tennessee.
- WR Kayshon Boutte had his first NFL game with at least two touchdowns last week at New Orleans. If he has two touchdowns this week at Tennessee, he will be the first Patriots player with at least two touchdown receptions in back-to-back games since TE Rob Gronkowski accomplished the feat in 2012 when he had two touchdown receptions vs. the New York Jets (10/21) and at St. Louis (10/28). The last New England wide receiver with back-to-back games with at least two touchdowns was WR Randy Moss in 2007 in the final two games of the season.
- RB Rhamondre Stevenson is in eighth place on the Patriots all-time rushing list and needs 27 yards rushing this week at Tennessee to move past John Stephens (3,249) into seventh place.
- LB Robert Spillane had his third game in 2025 with 10-plus tackles after finishing with a team-leading 11 total tackles last week at New Orleans. If he reaches 10-plus tackles this week at Tennessee, it will mark his second two-game streak with 10- plus tackles. He had 15 total tackles vs. Pittsburgh (9/21) followed by 10 total tackles vs. Carolina (9/28).
- Spillane had a career-high eight games with 10 or more tackles in 2024. The Patriots record for most games in a season with 10 or more tackles is 10 by Jerod Mayo in 2012 and 2010.
