Game Notes: Patriots extend streak to 11 straight road wins

TEAM NOTES 

PATRIOTS ARE BEST IN DIVISIONAL PLAY
The New England Patriots own a 77-22 (.778) record in regular season AFC East games since the beginning of the 2001 season, compiling the best intra-division record of any team in the NFL.

PATRIOTS EXTEND STREAK TO 11 STRAIGHT ROAD WINS
Last season, the Patriots finished the season with a perfect 8-0 road record. The Patriots victory at the New York Jets extended their road streak to 11 straight road wins, which is second to the 12 straight road games the team won from Dec. 24, 2006 through Oct. 5, 2008. The Patriots 12-game road win streak is second in NFL history to the 18 road game win streak by the San Francisco 49ers (1988-90). 

INDIVIDUAL NOTES  

BELICHICK WINS IN DIVISIONAL PLAY
The win against the New York Jets was Bill Belichick's 94th win in divisional play as a head coach. 

BRADY SETS NFL RECORD FOR MOST REGULAR SEASON WINS
While Brady is the all-time overall NFL leader with 212 career wins as a starting quarterback, Brady has now won 187 regular season games to move past Brett Favre and Peyton Manning for the most regular season wins by a starting quarterback in NFL history. 

BRADY EARNS 24TH WIN AGAINST THE JETS;
Tom Brady earned his 24th win against the New York Jets. Brady and Brett Favre are the only NFL quarterbacks with at least 24 wins against two divisional opponents. 

BRADY PASSES DAN MARINOW WITH HIS 241ST CAREER START. THIRD AMONG ALL NFL QUARTERBACKS
Tom Brady moved past Dan Marino with his 241th career start. He is one of ten NFL quarterbacks with at least 200 career starts in the regular season.

BRADY PASSES JERRY RICE FOR THE THIRD MOST WINS OVERALL NEARING THE TOP FOR WINS OVERALL
Tom Brady has the most wins by an NFL quarterback with 212 overall career wins. His 212 wins are the third-most wins overall among all NFL players.  

BRADY ON PACE FOR SECOND 5,000-YARD SEASON
Tom Brady has 1,959 yards passing through the first six games of the 2017 season and is on pace to finish the season with 5,224 yards. Brady owns one of the nine 5,000-yard passing seasons in NFL history and can join Drew Brees (5) as the only player with more than one 5,000-yard season. 

DL KYLE VAN NOY HAS FIRST NFL TWO-SACK GAME
DL Kyle Van Noy had two sacks 12 games, registering his first career two-sack game. 

DEVIN MCCOURTY BECOMES FIFTH PATS SAFETY TO REACH 20 INTERCEPTIONS
S Devin McCourty recorded his first interception of the 2017 season and the 20th interception os his career. McCourty became the fifth safety in team history to reach 20 career interceptions with the Patriots. All four others are on an NE all-decade team.

GRONKOWSKI AND BRADY CONNECT TWO TIMES
TE Rob Gronkowski and QB Tom Brady connected on their 70th touchdown on a two-yard touchdown catch in the second quarter and their 71st connection on a 33-yard touchdown reception in the third quarter. It is the second-most touchdown connections between a quarterback and a tight end in NFL history. Gronkowksi has had two or more touchdowns in a game 15 times. It is his first multi-TD game since he scored three in the 2015 season-opener vs. Pittsburgh on Sept. 10, 2015. 

JAMES WHITE ON HISTORIC PACE
RB James White added four receptions and now has 32 catches for the season. He is on pace to finish the year with 88 receptions. Eight NFL running back have had 90 or more receptions in a season. The Patriots record for most reception by a running back is 77 by Tony Collins in 1986. 

LINEUP NOTES

JOHNSON BADEMOSI MAKES FIRST START AS A PTRIOT
DB Johnson Bademosi made his first start as a member of the Patriots when he started at cornerback in place of the injured Stephon Gilmore. It marked his first action on defense for the Patriots. He finished the game with five tackles. 

DEATRICH WISE, JR. MAKES FIRST CAREER START
Rookie DL Deatrich Wise, Jr. made his first NFL start. 

DION LEWIS MAKES FIRST START OF 2017
RB Dion Lewis made his first start of the 2017 season.
