The Patriots didn't practice yesterday, but league rules dictate that, for teams playing on Thursday nights, an injury report must be distributed to project whether or not an injured player would have taken part in practice that day.

When New England released its first such report of this week on Monday, TE Rob Gronkowski was listed as "did not participate" after incurring a right ankle injury Sunday against Miami. Gronkowski had previously been dealing with a left ankle issue as well.

The big tight end managed to play on that dinged-up wheel, and this latest injury is nothing to be too concerned about, according to **an ESPN report**.

Along with Julian Edelman's return from an NFL suspension, Gronkowski's health is the biggest news of the week so far as the Patriots prepare to host Indianapolis this Thursday night at Gillette Stadium.

For the past month, Edelman has been keeping in shape by working out with former Patriots DE Rob Ninkovich, who went on **WEEI radio in Boston** yesterday to provide an update on "Jules."

"He ready to go, he's ready to roll," declared Ninko.

The Patriots are back on the practice field this afternoon, and Edelman is expected to rejoin his teammates then.
