After a one-week slipup in Baltimore just before the bye, the Patriots defense was looking to get back on track in Philadelphia. The first quarter plus was a little shaky, but after falling behind 10-0 the group rallied and shut down the Eagles for the rest of the way.

ESPN.com says the defense made some adjustments after those early scoring drives in Philly and returned to the dominant form it showed during the first half of the season. Now the unit is bracing for the Cowboys. The Boston Herald gives high marks for the group in its report card.

ESPN.com has Tom Brady expressing some frustration with the Patriots offense. The Boston Herald looks at possible reasons for Brady apparent unhappiness. The Athletic asks some of the same questions about Brady. NBC Sports Boston goes as far as wondering if Brady could be an afterthought in the Patriots success … well, not really.

The Boston Globe points to the work of Jake Bailey as being instrumental in the field position battle in Sunday's win over the Eagles. Bill Belichick and Brady also had some praise for Bailey.

The Dallas Morning News looks at Sunday’s game as an opportunity for Dak Prescott to enter the MVP discussion. Despite Prescott's strong play, they believe the key to beating the Patriots might lie in Ezekiel Elliott.
