The Patriots were set to hold two final OTA sessions in Foxborough to open this week, but as was the case a year ago Bill Belichick decided to switch plans. Last spring it was a trip to Fenway Park that was used as a team-building experience and once again opted for some sort of exercise together with the same thought in mind.

Anyway, with no further offseason workouts to report on, the Patriots will now be off limits until training camp in late July.

In the meantime, there isn't much in the way of news around Gillette Stadium.

Boston Sports Journal takes note of the Houston Texans decision to part ways with general manager Brian Gaine over the weekend and wonders if they’ll be interested in taking a run at Nick Caserio to fill the vacancy.

With minicamp in the books, MassLive.com takes another stab at the 53-man roster.

WEEI.com provides some notes from over the weekend, leading with some struggles for rookie first-round pick N'Keal Harry. ESPN.com's weekend notes lead with Julian Edelman trying to mentor Harry much the way he learned from veterans like Fred Taylor when he was a rookie.
