While most of the NFL is in a down period with very little news, it’s possible that Monday could be an important day for the Patriots. NFL Network reported that wide receiver Julian Edelman will have his appeal heard on Monday, which could lead to an overturn of his four-game suspension. It appears that Edelman is prepared to mount a vigorous defense.

Speaking of Edelman, a recent Instagram video showed Tom Brady tossing some passes in his direction.

ESPN.com looks at rookie running backs and how some might perform in their first season. While the Giants Saquon Barkley is expected to lead the group, he has plenty of company including the Patriots Sony Michel.
