At the age of 40 Tom Brady earned the NFL MVP award in 2017 and capped off his season by breaking his own record by throwing for 505 yards in the Super Bowl.

So it should come as no surprise that the GOAT repeated as NFL Network’s top-rated player in their annual rankings. Denver pass rusher Von Miller was particularly effusive in his praise of Brady and had a message for anyone who doesn't believe he is the best.

Rob Gronkowski was the only other member of the Patriots among the top 100, coming in at No. 14. However, Bleacher Report predicts a downturn in the tight end’s game for 2018.

ESPN.com offers a sneak peek at Mike Lombardi’s new book, which provides some insight into the inner workings of the Patriots.

Elsewhere, The Athletic takes a look at the worst free agent signings in Boston sports history, including some not-so-great memories of Patriots past.
