Foxborough, Mass. –Newton South High School's Ted Dalicandro has been named this week's New England Patriots High School Coach of the Week, following his team's 32-27 victory over Haverhill in the quarterfinals of the Division 2 North playoffs. "Congratulations to Coach Ted Dalicandro and the Newton South High School football program," Tippett said. "Under Coach Dalicandro, Newton South posted back to back winning seasons and won their first playoff game in over 30 years. His team has truly embodied what it means to have the heart of a lion. In recognition of this accomplishment, the Patriots would like to reward Coach Dalicandro and his team with a donation to the football program and we wish them the best of luck in the playoffs."

At the conclusion of the season, one high school coach will be named the New England Patriots High School Coach of the Year and will receive an additional $2,000 contribution toward the school's football program.
