Tom Brady shaves head for cancer research fundraiser

Tom Brady shaved his head at the annual Saving by Shaving event, which raises money for Dana-Farber Cancer Institute.

Tom Brady's hair has been a topic of conversation for as long as he's been in the spotlight, and on Thursday morning, it was the lack of hair that was the center of attention. Tom, and more than a thousand others, shaved it off for a great cause.

At the annual Saving by Shaving event hosted by Granite, which raises money for Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, Tom surprised the crowd as a "mystery guest" alongside Gov. Charlie Baker, Red Sox President Sam Kennedy and others.

Tom went live on Instagram to show as he flow fell to the ground, and he was all smiles as the crowd cheered on. The event did more than give Tom a new hairstyle. It helps raise awareness and money for cancer research, and every year, Saving by Shaving raises millions. In its fifth year, it raised more than $7 million on Thursday.

Tom isn't the only Patriot who is willing to shave his head for a cause either. Rob Gronkowski participates annually in the "Buzz Off" event at Gillette Stadium, which raises awareness and money for pediatric cancer research.

Check out Tom and Gov. Baker getting a fresh new look in the video below.
