Foxborough, Mass. – Wahconah Regional High School's Gary Campbell has been named this week's New England Patriots High School Coach of the Week in recognition of the team's 11-0 season and trip to the MIAA Division 4 Football Championship at Gillette Stadium on Dec. 6. The Warriors trailed by seven in the final seconds of the first half in their semifinal game vs. Shepherd Hill, but a forced fumble and 96-yard touchdown return tied the score at the half. Wahconah scored twice in the second half to secure the win and keep their undefeated season alive. The New England Patriots Charitable Foundation will donate $1,000 to Wahconah Regional High School's football program in Campbell's name in recognition of his Coach of the Week selection.

Patriots and Pro Football Hall of Fame linebacker Andre Tippett, the team's executive director of community affairs, presented the award to the Wahconah captains on Tuesday, Dec. 2. on the Gillette Stadium field following the MIAA Football Championship Breakfast. The meeting and check presentation will be featured on the team's weekly television show, "Patriots All Access," which airs on Friday, Dec. 5, at 7 p.m. on WBZ-TV in Boston and will be available immediately after on Patriots.com.

This is the 19th year in which the Patriots join the National Football League in conducting the High School Coach of the Week program, which recognizes outstanding high school coaches and promotes youth football throughout New England. Tippett oversees the program as part of the New England Patriots Charitable Foundation's commitment to youth football initiatives.

"I enjoyed meeting with the Wahconah captains and members of the Warrior football community today at Gillette Stadium to present this week's Patriots Coach of the Week award," Tippett said. "We're pleased to recognize Coach Campbell and his team for their impressive accomplishments thus far this season. I look forward to watching them compete for a state championship this weekend and wish them the best of luck."

At the conclusion of the season next week, one high school coach will be named the New England Patriots High School Coach of the Year and will receive an additional $2,000 contribution toward the school's football program.

The New England Patriots Charitable Foundation is the non-profit through which the Patriots support charitable and philanthropic organizations throughout New England. This support comes in the form of direct grants, in-kind donations and player appearances.
