Foxborough, Mass. – After capturing his 300th career victory with a dominating win in the first round of the MIAA Division 1 North playoffs, Everett High School's John DiBiaso has been named this week's New England Patriots High School Coach of the Week.

Now in his 26th season patrolling the sidelines for the Crimson Tide, Coach DiBiaso became just the fourth coach in MIAA history to capture 300 career wins following his squads 49-14 victory over St. John's Prep last week. The Tide jumped all over the Eagles early, scoring 35 seconds into the game on a 77-yard touchdown pass from junior quarterback Jake Willcox to senior Jason Maitre. From there, the route was on as Everett followed up with three more first quarter scores, including two more touchdown tosses from Willcox to go along with a 47-yard touchdown run from senior running back Kevin Brown to give Everett a 28-0 lead at the end of the first quarter. Coach DiBiaso's squad never looked back, as their 49-14 victory improved their record to 8-0 on the season as they continue their march through the state playoffs. Up next for the Crimson Tide in their pursuit of an undefeated season is a trip to take on Lexington in an MIAA Division 1 North semifinal matchup this Friday, Nov. 3, at 6 p.m.

Patriots and Pro Football Hall of Fame linebacker Andre Tippett, now the team's executive director of community affairs, visited the Hillers players and coaching staff Tuesday afternoon to present Hopkinton High School's football program with a $1,000 donation on behalf of the New England Patriots Charitable Foundation, in honor of Coach Girard. The visit and check presentation will be featured on the Patriots weekly television show, "Patriots All Access," which airs on Friday night at 7 p.m. on WBZ-TV in Boston and will be available immediately after on Patriots.com.

This is the 22nd year in which the Patriots joined the National Football League in conducting the High School Coach of the Week program, which recognizes outstanding high school coaches and promotes youth football throughout New England. The 2017 season marks the seventh year that Tippett has taken the award on the road to visit the schools that benefit from the program.

"It's fitting of Coach DiBiaso to earn his 300th career victory in the playoffs, where his Everett program has enjoyed such success over the past quarter-century," Tippett said. "Joining the elite class of 300-win coaches in MIAA history is another distinguished accomplishment in a career full of them. We wish Coach DiBiaso and Everett High the best in their pursuit of a championship."

At the conclusion of the fall, one of the weekly winners will be named the New England Patriots High School Coach of the Year and will receive a $2,000 contribution towards the school's football program.

For the seventh straight year, the Patriots will also be accepting nominations for High School Coach of the Week honors. Those who wish to nominate a high school football coach in New England who leads a team to an exceptional weekly performance or reaches a personal career milestone is encouraged to send submissions to nominatecoach@patriots.com.
