FOXBOROUGH, Mass. – The New England Patriots announced today a series of roster moves to reach the mandatory 53-man roster limit. The Patriots released 21 players and placed two on injured reserve.

The Patriots placed WR Ja'Lynn Polk and LB Jahlani Tavai on injured reserve.
RELEASED PLAYERS
The Patriots released the following players: CB Miles Battle, G Mehki Butler, G Jack Conley, CB Brandon Crossley, TE C.J. Dippre, S Marcus Epps, RB JaMycal Hasty, T Demontrey Jacobs, RB Terrell Jennings, WR John Jiles, DE Truman Jones, C Alec Lindstrom, DB Kobee Minor, DT David Olajiga, LB Cam Riley, DT Jahvaree Ritzie, K Parker Romo, TE Gee Scott Jr., G Cole Strange, LB Bradyn Swinson and WR Jeremiah Webb.
Battle, 25, originally entered the NFL as a rookie free agent with the Kansas City Chiefs on May 5, 2024, out of Utah. The 6-foot-3, 197-pounder, was released by Kansas after training camp and was signed by New England to the practice squad on Oct. 15, 2024. He was signed by New England to the 53-man roster from the practice squad on Jan. 4, 2025 and played in his first NFL game in the season-finale vs. Buffalo (1/5), finishing with 2 tackles and 3 passes defensed.
Butler, 24, was signed by New England as a rookie free agent on May 12, 2025, out of Arkansas State. The 6-foot-3, 310-pounder, earned NJCCA first-team All-America recognition at Iowa Western Community College in 2020 before transferring to Arkansas State. He started 38 games at left guard for Arkansas State.
Conley, 24, was signed by New England as a rookie free agent on May 9, 2025, out of Boston College. The 6-foot-7, 333-pounder, played at right guard, left guard, right tackle and as a tackle-eligible tight end during his college career. Last season, he started all 12 games at right guard and earned All-ACC honorable mention.
Crossley, 24, was signed by New England as a rookie free agent on May 9, 2025, out of Southern Methodist. The 5-foot-11, 186-pounder, began his college career at Colorado State for one season in 2019 before transferring to Southern Methodist for five seasons. In 2024, he played in 14 games with 13 starts and totaled 35 tackles, 7 passes defensed and 1 interception.
Dippre, 23, was signed by New England as a rookie free agent on May 9, 2025, out of Alabama. The 6-foot-5, 256-pounder, played his first two seasons at Maryland before transferring to Alabama for his final two seasons. He finished his college career with 65 receptions for 782 yards and 3 touchdowns.
Epps, 29, was signed by New England as an unrestricted free agent from Las Vegas on March 14, 2025. The 6-foot-, 195-pounder, is a veteran of six NFL seasons with Minnesota (2019), Philadelphia (2019-22) and Las Vegas (2024). He originally entered the NFL as a sixth-round draft pick (191st overall) by Minnesota in the 2019 NFL Draft out of Wyoming. He played in eight games with Minnesota as a rookie before being released on Nov. 6. Epps was claimed off waivers by Philadelphia, where he finished his rookie campaign. He was signed by Las Vegas as an unrestricted free agent from Philadelphia on March 16, 2023. Overall, he has played in 82 regular season games with 45 starts and has 277 total tackles, 3 interceptions, 18 passes defensed, 2 forced fumbles, 1 fumble recovery and 17 special teams tackles.
Hasty, 28, was signed by New England on August 5, 2025. The 5-foot-8, 205-pounder, was originally claimed off waivers by New England from Jacksonville on Nov. 13, 2024. He played in two games with New England in 2023 and last season he played in 15 games and finished with 20 rushing attempts for 69 yards and caught 10 passes for 59 yards and 1 touchdown. Hasty originally entered the NFL as a rookie free agent with San Francisco in 2020 out of Baylor. After two seasons in San Francisco (2020-21), Hasty was acquired off waivers by Jacksonville on Aug. 31, 2022. He was released by Jacksonville on Nov. 11, 2023. Overall, Hasty has played in 56 regular season games and has 479 rushing yards on 121 attempts with 4 touchdowns and 60 receptions for 375 yards and 2 touchdowns. He has also played in five postseason games and has 36 rushing yards and 13 yards receiving.
Jacobs, 26, was claimed off waivers and awarded to New England from Denver on August 28, 2024. The 6-foot-6, 315-pounder, originally signed with Denver as a rookie free agent on May 12, 2023, out of South Florida. He spent the 2023 season on the Denver practice squad. Last season, he played in 15 games with 13 starts at both right (11 starts) and left (2 starts) tackle for the Patriots.
Jennings, 24, was signed by New England to the 53-man roster from the practice squad on Dec. 21, 2024. The 6-foot, 217-pounder, was signed by New England as a rookie free agent on May 13, 2024 out of Florida A&M. He was released at the end of training camp and signed to the practice squad. He played in three games for the Patriots last season and finished with 13 carries for 33 yards.
Jiles, 25, was signed by New England to the practice squad on Oct. 9, 2024. The 6-foot-3, 220-pounder, was originally signed by the New York Giants as a rookie free agent out of West Florida on May 10, 2024. He
Jones, 25, was signed by New England to the 53-man roster from the practice squad on Jan. 4, 2025, and made his NFL debut in the season-finale vs. Buffalo (1/5), finishing with 2 tackles. The 6-foot-3, 255-pounder, was signed by New England to the practice squad on Dec. 3, 2024. He was originally signed by Kansas City as a rookie free agent out of Harvard on May 6, 2023, and spent all of the 2023 season and part of the 2024 season on the Chiefs practice squad. He was released from the Kansas City practice squad on Nov. 26, 2024.
Lindstrom, 27, was signed by New England on July 30, 2025. The 6-foot-3, 300-pounder, spent the last two springs playing for the Memphis Showboats of the UFL. He originally entered the NFL as a rookie free agent with the Dallas Cowboys in 2022 out of Boston College and spent the season on the practice squad. After being released by Dallas after training camp in 2023, he spent the spring of 2024 with the Memphis Showboats. Lindstrom signed with the Los Angeles Rams on Aug. 6, 2024, but was released before the start of the regular season. Lindstrom was signed by the New York Jets practice squad on Oct. 9, 2024, and then signed to the 53-man roster on Oct. 31 and made his NFL debut on special teams vs. Houston. He was released by the Jets on Nov. 16, 2024.
Minor, 23, was selected by New England in the seventh round of the 2025 NFL Draft with the 257th overall pick out of Memphis. The 5-foot-11, 188-pounder, played his first three seasons at Texas Tech, followed by one-year stints at Indiana and Memphis. Last season, he played in all 11 games and registered 38 tackles, 2 sacks, 6 passes defensed and 2 forced fumbles.
Olajiga, 27, was signed by New England on July 20, 2025. The 6-foot-3, 310-pounder, spent last season on the Los Angeles Rams practice squad as part of the International Pathway Program after signing with the team out of Central Missouri. He was released by the Rams on May 7, 2025. Originally from London, England, Olajiga began his football career in high school at The John Fisher School in London. He appeared in 32 games at Central Missouri and recorded 98 tackles, 20 tackles for loss, 9 sacks, 1 pass defensed, 3 forced fumbles, 1 fumble recovery and 4 blocked kicks.
Riley, 23, was signed by New England as a rookie free agent on May 9, 2025, out of Florida State. The 6-foot-4, 228-pounder, played his first four seasons at Auburn (2020-23) before transferring to Florida State for the 2024 season. In 58 collegiate games, he finished with 167 total tackles, 3½ sacks, 3 passes defensed and 1 forced fumble.
Ritzie, 22, was signed by New England as a rookie free agent on May 9, 2025, out of North Carolina. The 6-foot-4, 294-pounder, played in 51 games during his four seasons at North Carolina and finished with 138 total tackles, 9 sacks, 1 interception, 2 passes defensed and 2 forced fumbles.
Romo, 28, was signed by New England to the practice squad on Dec. 10, 2024. The 5-foot-11, 190-pounder, spent time with Minnesota last year, playing in four games and making 11-of-12 field goals and 7-of-8 extra points. He was released by Minnesota on Dec. 7, 2024. Romo originally entered the NFL as a rookie free agent with New Orleans in 2022 out of Virginia Tech before being released at the end of training camp. After spending the 2023 spring season with the San Antonio Brahmas, he went to training camp with Detroit and spent part of the 2023 season on the Chicago practice squad. Romo was signed by Minnesota in March of 2024 and was released on July 29. He was re-signed by Minnesota on Nov. 5 and made his NFL debut at Jacksonville on Nov 10.
Scott Jr., 24, was signed by New England as a rookie free agent on May 9, 2025, out of Ohio State. The 6-foot-3, 240-pounder, played five seasons at Ohio State and earned four Varsity Letters. He played in 52 games with 16 starts and finished with 47 receptions for 393 yards and 3 touchdowns.
Strange, 27, was drafted by New England in the first-round of the 2022 NFL Draft out of Chattanooga with the 29th overall selection. The 6-foot-5, 310-pounder, has played in 30 games with 29 starts during his three seasons with the Patriots. He started his first 17 games at left guard before suffering an injury in December of the 2023 season. Strange began the 2024 season on the Reserve/Physically Unable to Perform List and was limited to just three games with two starts at center.
Swinson, 23, was selected by the Patriots in the fifth round of the 2025 NFL Draft with the 146th overall pick out of Louisiana State. The 6-foot-4, 255-pounder, played his first three college seasons at Oregon before transferring to Louisiana State for his final two seasons. Last season, he started in 12 of 13 games and finished with 58 total tackles and 8½ sacks.
Webb, 24, was signed by New England as a rookie free agent on May 9, 2025, out of South Alabama. The 5-foot-11, 198-pounder, began his career at South Dakota in 2021 before transferring to South Alabama for his final three collegiate seasons. Last season, he played in 13 games and caught 36 receptions for 649 yards and 5 touchdowns.
