Patriots Sign DT Kyle Peko and Release DT Bryce Ganious

FOXBOROUGH, Mass. – The New England Patriots announced today the signing of veteran DT Kyle Peko. Terms of the contract were not announced. In addition, the Patriots announced that they have released rookie DT Bryce Ganious (pronounced – GAIN-us).

Peko, 32, has spent time with Denver (2016-18, 2019-20), Buffalo (2018-19), Indianapolis (2019), Tennessee (2021, 2023), Las Vegas (2022) and Detroit (2024). The 6-foot-1, 305-pounder, originally entered the NFL as a rookie free agent with Denver out of Oregon State in 2016. Overall, he has played in 47 games with 14 starts and has registered 58 total tackles, 2 sacks, 2 passes defensed and 1 forced fumble. He has had two different stints with both Denver and Tennessee during his career.

Ganious, 21, participated in the Patriots rookie mini-camp this past spring and was signed to the roster on August 5, 2024. The 6-foot, 300-pounder, began his college career at Villanova before transferring to Wake Forest for his final two seasons. Last season, he played in 10 games with eight starts and recorded 26 total tackles and 3 sacks.
