Biography
COACHING
Chuckie Keeton joins the Patriots as an offensive assistant after spending the 2024 season as an offensive assistant for the Seattle Seahawks.
In Seattle, Keeton worked closely with the quarterbacks, most notably Geno Smith. Smith broke four franchise records in 2024, setting new single-season marks for highest completion percentage (70.4), passing yards (4,320), pass attempts (578) and completions (407).
Prior to Seattle, Keeton spent eight years in the college ranks. He was an offensive analyst at Marshall in 2023 after two years as running backs coach at Utah State (2021-22), his second stint with the Aggies after working as a quality control coach in 2018. Keeton's first coaching job was as a quality control coach at Oregon State from 2016-17, and he was also a graduate assistant at Texas Tech from 2019-20.
PLAYING
Keeton played quarterback for Utah State University from 2011-15, setting school records in career completion percentage (65.4 percent), interception percentage (2.0 percent) and passing efficiency (145.2). His career marks in touchdown passes (58), completions (568), total offense (7,621 yards), passing yards (6,387) and passing attempts (869) all rank inside the top five on the program's all-time lists. Keeton set or matched five single-season and eight single-game records throughout his career. He earned First-Team All-WAC honors as a sophomore in 2012 as he led Utah State to an 11-2 finish and a top-25 national ranking.
PERSONAL
A native of Houston, Texas, Keeton attended Cypress Creek High School, where he was a two-time All-District 15 5A selection. He graduated from Utah State in the fall of 2015 with a degree in business administration.
