Ekene Olekanma enters his second season with the New England Patriots as director of coaching analytics after being hired in June of 2025. He assists with game management on a weekly basis with John Streicher, as well as developing a pre-advanced report on each opponent with the rest of the coaching staff.

Prior to joining the Patriots, Olekanma worked as a football research and development analyst and later a research and development coordinator with the San Francisco 49ers.  Before arriving in San Francisco, Olekanma spent one season with the Baltimore Ravens as a coaching research and development analyst fellow.

Prior to entering the NFL, Olekanma played linebacker at Toledo (2014-18), playing in 42 career games recording 153 total tackles, 41/2 sacks, 1 interception and 1 fumble recovery.

The Downers Grove, Ill. native is married to his wife, Kendall, and has one sister, Kessie.
