Patriots celebrate Boston Celtics winning 18th NBA championship

New England Patriots who supported the Celtics all season were thrilled to see their Boston brethren bring another championship back to Titletown.

16 x 9

All is well in Titletown.

The Boston Celtics secured banner No. 18 on Monday night after a gentleman's sweep over the Dallas Mavericks, winning their first NBA title since 2008. It's been a long journey for fans over the last 16 years, but the Celtics managed to end the longest title drought of any other Boston team after one of the most impressive seasons in league history.

The entire city was behind the Celtics, including dozens of New England Patriots who have supported their Boston brethren all season at TD Garden. Players like Ja'Whaun Bentley (a die-hard Celtics fan), Drake Maye, and special teams coach Jeremy Springer were all in Boston to watch the game, while members of the Patriots who weren't in attendance took to social media to congratulate the Celtics.

"Congrats fellas," David Andrews wrote on his Instagram story. "Good to see a championship come back to the city."

Here is some more reaction from the Patriots:
