New England Patriots offensive lineman Matt Light will be hosting his first-ever Celebrity Shoot-Out, a clay shooting event to benefit the Matt Light Foundation. The event will take place from 12:00-8:00 p.m. on Saturday, August 20 at Addieville East Farm in Mapleville, RI.
The Celebrity Shoot-Out will feature contestants, including Patriots players, competing in the clay shooting competition. The entry fee, $1,000 per person or $3,000 per team, will go directly to the Light Foundation, the non-profit charitable organization established by Matt in 2001 that strives to ensure that all youth have an opportunity to grow physically, spiritually and mentally by providing positive opportunities for them to learn and grow in to healthy and productive adults. Recent activities sponsored by the Light Foundation include the building of the Light Foundation Baseball Field in Ohio, the creation of the Light Foundation Scholarship Fund for students in Ohio and Massachusetts, and an Easter project that supplied funding to provide for Easter baskets and gifts to underserved youth in the community of Greenville, OH.
