Two old friends from their time in Tennessee reunited at Gillette Stadium this weekend, with New England Patriots coach Mike Vrabel hanging out with Morgan Wallen before Friday night's concert.
The country music superstar has made a tradition of walking through the tunnels of stadiums and arenas with local athletes and celebrities for each of his stops on his "I'm The Problem Tour," and Vrabel got the call from Wallen's team to help kick off two sold-out nights in Foxborough.
"I saw him play in front of 1,200 people in a warehouse in like 2019," Vrabel said Monday morning during his weekly scheduled appearance on WEEI's The Greg Hill Show.
"He's doing pretty good for himself."
Later in the day at his media availability, Vrabel shared he wasn't nervous to walk out with Wallen, as it's 'not like he had to sing or tackle him."
Vrabel was amused to learn that Patriots legend Rob Gronkowski followed him up on Saturday night for the special walk out. Wallen threw a Patriots-inspired electric guitar over to him, and predictably, Gronkowski spiked it into the concrete.
"Of course he did," Vrabel said.
The shows were Wallens debut shows at Gillette Stadium, and the reigning CMA Entertainer of the Year donned Patriots hats and jerseys of New England sports legends throughout the weekend.
With the shows. Wallen closed out Gillette Stadium's 2025 Summer Concert Series presented by Dunkin' with a bang.
