FOXBOROUGH, Mass. – The New England Patriots announced that they have signed veteran RB Craig Reynolds to the practice squad and released RB Rushawn Baker from the practice squad. Reynolds was released by the Detroit Lions on Nov. 26, 2025.
Reynolds, 29, has spent time in the NFL with Washington (2019), Atlanta (2019), Jacksonville (2020) and Detroit (2021-25). The 5-foot-11, 216-pounder, originally entered the NFL as a rookie free agent with Washington in 2019 out of Kutztown. Reynolds has spent time on the practice squad of Washington, Atlanta, Jacksonville and Detroit and on the 53-man roster of Washington, Jacksonville and Detroit. Overall, he has played in 60 regular season games with two starts and had 154 rushing attempts for 658 yards and 1 touchdown and has 25 receptions for 258 yards. He has played in seven games for Detroit in 2025 and has 3 rushing attempts for 4 yards.
Baker, 22, was originally signed by the New York Giants as a rookie free agent out of Elon on May 9, 2025. The 5-foot-11, 218-pounder, was released by the Giants on Aug. 12, 2025 and signed by New England to the practice squad on Oct. 28, 2025. Baker started his college career at Bucknell before transferring to Elon for his final season in 2024. He finished the year with 183 rushing attempts for 859 yards and 9 touchdowns last season.
