The third episode of Patriots Off Topic is chock-full of conversations with Patriots players. There is a snippet from Lawrence Guy's backpack giveaway event, as well as a game with Shaq Mason, but David Andrews anchors the episode as the special guest.

Here is what we learned from a conversation with David.

He's still close with his high school friends and football family. David grew up in Georgia, and he said that his high school friends, teammates and coaches are still incredibly important to him. So much so that when he married his wife, Mackenzie, one of his coaches performed the ceremony.

He's a cat dad, but the relationship is rocky. He and Mackenzie have a cat named Fancy, and despite his efforts to bond with her, Fancy is resistant. "I love her, but she doesn't really like me," he said. "It's really sad when I try to go pick her up and she just runs away from me."

It's better with his dogs, but they aren't the best hunting and fishing companions. In addition to Fancy, the also have two German shepherds, and though the dogs follow him around, David said they aren't the best companions when it comes to hunting or fishing.

"She's not the best fishing partner, but they don't hunt or fish," David said. "My female, she tries to get after deer and squirrels and turkeys. Cows are her arch nemesis. She really tries to attack cows."

He knows how to enjoy a New England summer. David may be from Georgia, but after a few years in Foxborough, he's learned how to make the most of a New England summer. This offseason, he did the 4th of July on the Cape, rented a house on Lake Winnipesaukee and ate some seafood.

With the team in Nashville, he shared the country acts he's been listening to lately. The list includes Luke Combs, Cody Johnson, Riley Green and Morgan Wallen.

You can catch the interview in full on the latest Patriots Off Topic, which drops every Friday. Be sure to rate, review and subscribe so you don't miss any of the off-the-field action.
