FREQUENT FOES IN THE PRESEASON
The Patriots and Giants played in the preseason for the 32nd time. The two teams met in the preseason finale for 16 straight seasons (2005-19 and 2021), rotating who was the home team, and then in the first game of the preseason in 2022.

The game captains were WR John Jiles, P Bryce Baringer, LB Jack Gibbens, RB JaMycal Hasty and S Jabrill Peppers.
ROOKIE QB BEN WOOLDRIDGE PLAYED THE ENTIRE GAME
Rookie QB Ben Wooldridge, who was signed by New England as a rookie free agent out of Louisiana, started the game and played the entire game. He completed his first touchdown pass with a 10-yard pass to WR Jeremiah Webb late in the second quarter. Wooldridge finished 10-of-20 for 82 yards with one touchdown and one interception.
BEN BROWN STARTED AT CENTER
Ben Brown started at center after starting at left guard in the Week 2 preseason game at Minnesota. He started 10 games for the Patriots at center in 2024.
WESTOVER STARTS AT FULLBACK
TE Jack Westover started at fullback for the third straight game.
2025 SEVENTH-ROUND DRAFT PICK T MARCUS BRYANT MAKES THIRD START
2025 seventh-round draft pick T Marcus Bryant started at right tackle for the third straight preseason game.
WOODSON STARTS AT SAFETY FOR SECOND STRAIGHT GAME
2025 fourth-round draft pick S Craig Woodson made his second start at safety.
ROOKIE WR JEREMIAH WEBB LINED UP TO RETURN PUNTS
Rookie WR Jeremiah Webb, who returned a second quarter kickoff 59 yards at Minnesota, lined up to return punts against the Giants. Webb did not return kicks during his college career. He had a 22-yard return in the first quarter. Webb scored his first touchdown on a 10-yard pass from QB Ben Wooldridge late in the second quarter. Webb finished with 3 receptions for 31 yards and the touchdown.
BARINGER CONNECTS ON SECOND 60-YARD PUNT OF THE PRESEASON
P Bryce Baringer connected on his second 60-yard punt of the 2025 preseason with a 63-yard punt in the first quarter. He had a 65-yard punt in the third quarter at Minnesota. Baringer has 23 60-yard punts in his career, including 11 in 2024.
FOTHERINGHAM RECOVERS A MUFFED PUNT
TE Cole Fotheringham recovered a second quarter muffed punt at the 12-yard line to help set up a 30-yard field goal by K Andy Borregales.
DUGGER GETS A PICK IN THE END ZONE FOR SECOND STRAIGHT WEEK
S Kyle Dugger picked off Giants QB Jameis Winston in the end zone in the second quarter, marking the second straight week he has picked off a pass in the end zone. He intercepted Minnesota QB Max Brosmer in the end zone as time expired to secure a 20-12 New England victory in Week 2 of the preseason.
