FOXBOROUGH, Mass. – The New England Patriots announced that S Richie Grant and RB Terrell Jennings have been elevated from the practice squad to the active roster. Jennings is being elevated for the third straight week.
Grant, 27, was signed by New England to the practice squad on Oct. 15, 2025. The 6-foot, 200-pounder, is a veteran of four NFL seasons with the Atlanta Falcons after entering the NFL as a second-round draft pick in the 2021 NFL Draft out of UCF. Grant was signed by the San Francisco 49ers as an unrestricted free agent this past offseason but was released prior to the start of the season. He has played in 67 games with 33 starts and has accumulated 264 total tackles, 3 sacks, 3 interceptions, 17 passes defensed and 11 special teams tackles.
Jennings, 24, was originally signed by New England as a rookie free agent from Florida A&M on May 13, 2024, and began the year on the practice squad. He was elevated for the game vs. Houston on Oct. 13, 2024, and then was signed to the 53-man roster from the practice squad on Dec. 21, 2024. The 6-foot, 217-pounder, has played in five games and has 18 rushing attempts for 51 yards. Jennings was signed to the practice squad after being released at the end of training camp this past summer.
