• Attended Lake Travis (Austin, Texas) High School and was named District Offensive Lineman of the Year. 
• Helped Lake Travis to a 15-1 record en route to a Texas Class 6A Division 1 state title as a senior in 2016. 
• As a junior in 2015, helped Lake Travis to an appearance in the Class 6A Division 1 state title game, earning second-team all-state recognition for his efforts. 
• Earned honorable mention all-district honors as a sophomore in 2014.
