CAREER TRANSACTIONS
Cole Strange was drafted by the New England Patriots in the first round (29th overall) of the 2022 NFL Draft.
SEASONAL REVIEWS
2024 (3/2)
- Limited to three games with two starts at center for the final two games, his first action at the position.
- Began the season on the Reserve/Physically Unable to Perform List due to an injury suffered in the 2023 season and was not activated to the 53-man roster until Dec. 10.
- Inactive at Arizona (12/15) after being activated to the 53-man roster and returned to action at Buffalo (12/22) for the first time in 2024. Saw his playing time on the extra point unit against the Bills.
- Made his first start of the season and his first NFL start at center due to an injury to C Ben Brown vs. the L.A. Chargers (12/28). All of his previous 27 starts were at left guard. Continued in that role vs. Buffalo (1/5).
2023 (10/10)
- Was slowed at the start of the year by an injury that he suffered in training camp that forced him to miss the entire preseason.
- Returned to action Week 2 vs. Miami (9/17).
- Played and started in 10 games, all at left guard. He was inactive for four games - vs. Philadelphia (9/10), at Dallas (10/1), vs. New Orleans (10/8) and at Las Vegas (10/15) - due to injury.
- Made his first start of the season vs. Miami (9/17) after missing the preseason and Week 1. In the final minutes of the fourth quarter, Strange caught a lateral from TE Mike Gesicki when the team was trying to convert a fourth-down attempt and gained 3 yards.
- Started at left guard at the New York Jets (9/24). Spelled by Atonio Mafi in the fourth quarter.
- Returned to the starting lineup vs. Buffalo (10/22) at left guard after missing three games due to injury.
