Tom Brady, Sony Michel read 'Mean Tweets' on Jimmy Kimmel Live

Celebrities reading trolling tweets gets an NFL spin, featuring two Patriots.

Ever since Jimmy Kimmel brought celebrities reading mean tweets onto the scene, it has been a viral sensation. It gives celebrities a chance to combat the trolls who quickly type scathing insults and hit send without thinking the subject of the tweet will ever see it -- never mind read it aloud for millions of people.

Ahead of Super Bowl LIV, Kimmel brought back the segment with an NFL twist, and players like Travis Kelce, Patrick Mahomes, Todd Gurley, Terry Bradshaw, Clay Matthews, Jared Goff.

Oh, yeah. Tom Brady and Sony Michel also joined the fun facing their internet haters. Tom kicked things off with a dig at his chin. Then there was the expletive riddled tweet that ended with, "I hope you cry."

"I do cry too," Tom said in disbelief.

Sony's insulting post took a technology angle, saying: "Sony Michel more like Panasonic Michel so far."

Tom's final tweet, again and with little surprised, contained more curses, but added an extra harsh layer. "I hope your dog eats chocolate and gets really sick and throws up on your sock."

The shock and hilarity of such a specific wish registered as Tom read it, and even Kimmel had something to say about it.

"When you're attacking the pets, you've gone too far," he said.
