Jaylinn Hawkins was re-signed by the New England Patriots as an unrestricted free agent on March 13, 2025 ... Signed by New England as an unrestricted free agent from the L.A. 2025 (15/15, 3/3)

  • Serves as a starter at safety and plays on special teams.
  • Recorded his first-career sack and first interception as a Patriot vs. Las Vegas (9/7), finishing with a statline of 5 tackles, 2 tackles for loss, 1 sack, 1 interception and 1 pass defensed. Is one of four Patriots to record an interception and a sack in a season opener since sacks became an official stat in 1982, along with CB Ellis Hobbs (9/7/08), CB Steve Israel (9/12/99) and LB Andre Tippett (9/1/91).
  • Led the team in tackles with 8 at Miami (9/14).
  • Recovered a fumble by WR Keon Coleman at Buffalo (10/5) after a short reception at the Bills' 10-yard line in the first quarter to set up a 30-yard field goal. • Inactive at New Orleans (10/12) and at Tennessee (10/19) due to injury.
  • Returned to the starting lineup vs. Cleveland (10/26) after missing two games due to injury.   • Forced a fumble on RB Derrick Henry that was recovered by S Craig Woodson at the New England 32-yard line in the first quarter at Baltimore (12/21). It was his second career forced fumble. 
  • Recorded his third interception of the season at the N.Y. Jets (12/28) on a pass from QB Brady Cook in the first quarter, a new single-season career high.
  • Logged his fourth interception on the season and second in as many games vs. Miami (1/4/26), on a pass from QB Quinn Ewers in the end zone in the third quarter to prevent a score. He became the first Patriot to have an interception in consecutive games since S Kyle Dugger in 2023, when he had one at Miami on Oct. 28 and another vs. Washington on Nov. 5.

2024 (17/7)

  • Played in all 17 games with seven starts at safety, finishing with 43 total tackles (25 solo, 18 assists) and 1 pass defensed. Also contributed on special teams, totaling 5 special teams tackles and 1 fumble recovery.
  • Recovered a third quarter fumble on a punt at Cincinnati (9/8) at the Bengals 24-yard line that forced by LS Joe Cardona. It was his second-career fumble recovery, his first coming as a member of the Falcons in 2022.
  • Started at safety in place of the injured Kyle Dugger in two-straight games: in the win vs. the New York Jets (10/27) and at Tennessee (11/3).
  • Brought down WR Keenan Allen on third-and-3 in the second quarter at Chicago (11/10) for a loss of 2 yards to force a punt. Played a role in holding the Bears offense to just 142 yards, the lowest total since holding the New York Jets to 103 total yards on Nov. 20, 2022.

2023 (10/3 - L.A. CHARGERS)

  • Claimed off waivers on Oct. 18 after being released by Atlanta and played in 10 games with 3 starts and finished with 11 total tackles, and one pass defensed.
  • Started three games for the Chargers in the second half of the season, vs. Baltimore (11/26), vs. Denver (12/10) and vs. Buffalo (12/23).

2023 (6/0 - ALANTA)

  • Played in six games for Atlanta before being released on Oct. 17 and finished with 2 total tackles and 1 special teams tackle.

2022 (16/16 - ATLANTA)

  • Started and played in 16 games, totaling a career-best 82 tackles (43 solo), 6 passes defensed, 2 interceptions, 1 one forced fumble and recovered a fumble in the end zone for a touchdown.
  • Scored his first defensive touchdown vs. San Francisco (10/16), recovering a fumble in the end zone for a score. Also intercepted a pass from QB Jimmy Garoppolo in the fourth quarter.
  • Recorded 10 tackles in a game twice during the season, with 10 tackles (7 solo) at Tampa Bay (10/09) and 10 tackles (6 solo) at Cincinnati (10/23).
